Dr. Garrett will talk about his research explaining how misinformation, especially political content, is spread and how we all can be alert to our own vulnerabilities to believing “fake news” and how to avoid further spreading false memes and facts that are not factual.

7:15 – 7:45 PM Susan Yutzey, PhD, past President of OELMA (Ohio Educational Library Media Association)

Dr. Yutzey will take us through some of the practical things we can do to evaluate information we encounter on the Internet and on social media.
