Are you Concerned About Children Separated From Their Parents By OUR Government?

Despite a judge's order, over 400 children have yet to be reunited with their families following Trump’s outrageous, cruel, and shameful plan to use children as tools to deter immigration.   Politicians have condemned Trump’s policy, but have not remedied the problem.  We need to convince them to DO SOMETHING!

CALL TO ACTION - NOW:

Members of the Senate Judiciary Committee have real power to bring the nightmare for these families to a conclusion. They can seize that power—by applying this leverage:

NO – WE WILL NOT VOTE ON KAVANAUGH, MR. PRESIDENT, UNTIL FAMILIES SEPARATED AT THE BORDER ARE RE-UNITED!”

(We are not now asking “Vote No.”  We are asking “DON’T VOTE”!)

How we do this:

Contact (on-line or by phone) all members of the Senate Judiciary Committee urging them to take this position (see https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/about/members for contact information) and others who may have influence with these Senators. (See list below)

We are hoping to get 1000 individuals in the Columbus area to participate in this action.

UAPA members can make a difference.  You are sorely needed!

Talking Point Suggestion:

The fact that 416 children are still separated from their families – because of the Trump administration – must  end.

You, Senator, have the leverage and power, as a member of the Judiciary Committee at this crucial time , to end the children’s and families’ nightmare by withholding something Trump really wants—a vote on his Supreme Court nominee.  Please take a stand.  Let your Chair and the President and the world know:

“I WILL NOT VOTE ON KAVANAUGH, MR. PRESIDENT, UNTIL FAMILIES SEPARATED AT THE BORDER ARE RE-UNITED!”

This action will take some effort– can we take 45 minutes or so to end this shameful mark on the history of our country, and get the children reunited with their families?

LET’S DO THIS!!
